The Canadian Mineral Processors (CMP) is a Technical Society of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum which is organized across the country into ten Regions.

The Alberta branch of CMP is focusing on operational excellence in mineral and oil sands processing in the local region.

Alberta CMP offers a venue for essential professional development networking, a forum to present and learn – the annual mineral processing and oil sands conference.

This year conference will take place on

                                                Sept. 30th and Oct. 1st, 2020
in Fort McMurray.

The first day of the conference includes keynotes, plenary sessions and the panel discussion.
A tour of a major oil sands mine will take place in the morning of the second day of the conference.

The 2020 Alberta Regional CMP Conference aims to feature discussions on plant operations, plant start-ups and improvements, application of new or new-to industry technologies, equipment and instrumentation, tailings management, bitumen extraction process improvements, process aids and other with an opportunity to meet companies who work on improving efficiency, focus on innovation and environmental responsibility.
